Terms and Conditions
R2B Membership Terms and Conditions
1. About these terms
These Membership Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the membership areas, content, downloads, resources and related features made available through www.r2b.uk by R2B. These terms are intended to regulate membership access and content use for a professional educational website. They should be read alongside the R2B Privacy Notice and Cookies Policy. By applying for membership, creating a member account, ticking an acceptance box, accessing member-only content, downloading resources, or continuing to use the membership area after updated terms are published, you agree to be bound by these terms. R2B may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the membership area after revised terms are published means that you accept the updated terms.
2. Membership status
Membership is intended for adults aged 18 or over who are professionals or students, primarily in the United Kingdom and particularly England and Wales. R2B may accept, refuse, suspend or cancel membership applications where reasonably necessary to protect the integrity, security or intended professional purpose of the website. Membership may be offered free of charge at launch and may later include paid tiers, subscriptions or member services. Any paid membership, training, events, consultancy, digital products or other paid services introduced later will be subject to separate terms. If there is any inconsistency, the separate terms for those paid services will take priority.
3. Account registration and security
You must provide accurate and current information when applying for membership and keep your details reasonably up to date. Membership is personal to the registered user unless R2B expressly agrees otherwise in writing. You must keep your login credentials secure and must not share account access with anyone else. R2B may suspend, restrict or terminate access where there is evidence of unauthorised sharing, misuse, scraping, copying, a security risk or a breach of these terms.
4. What membership includes
Membership may provide access to articles, blogs, guides, downloads, templates, videos, webinars, newsletters, Q&A content, educational resources and similar materials made available by R2B from time to time. R2B may add, remove, amend, withdraw or replace content, features or parts of the membership offering at any time. R2B does not guarantee that any particular item will remain available. Unless R2B expressly states otherwise, membership gives you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable permission to access member materials for your own personal professional or educational reference only. No ownership rights in the content, downloads, branding or materials are transferred to you.
5. Permitted use
As a registered member, you may access and read member-only content through your own account. You may download or print resources only for your own personal professional or educational reference. You may share links to public R2B webpages on social media or by other lawful means, provided that you do not copy or disclose member-only content, files or extracts. Permitted use is strictly limited to individual reference. Membership does not authorise collaborative sharing, internal circulation, team use, institutional use, republication, incorporation into organisational documents or commercial exploitation of the materials.
6. Prohibited use
Unless R2B gives prior written permission by email to admin@r2b.uk, you must not copy, reproduce, adapt, edit, translate, republish, upload, post, transmit, distribute or share any member-only content or downloadable resource. You must not present R2B content as your own work or remove branding, copyright notices or source attribution. You must not incorporate R2B content into policies, procedures, templates, manuals, handbooks, course materials, presentations, books, reports, newsletters, blogs, paid content, training products or consultancy materials. You must not use R2B content for training, fine-tuning, testing or developing any artificial intelligence, large language model, machine-learning system or similar technology. You must not upload R2B content to a third-party or public AI tool, dataset, repository or knowledge base. You must not share login credentials, member-only links, downloadable files, copied extracts, screenshots or substantial reproductions of member-only content with another person. You must not use automated tools, scripts, bots, crawlers, scrapers or similar methods to access, copy, monitor or extract content from the website. You must not use the membership area or content for unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, abusive, discriminatory, infringing or otherwise improper purposes. R2B reserves all rights not expressly granted in these terms.
7. Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in the website, membership areas, branding, logos, written content, downloads, templates, videos, graphics, resource design and other materials belong to R2B or its licensors, unless stated otherwise. Membership grants access only on the limited basis set out in these terms. It does not transfer ownership or create any wider licence to use the materials. If you wish to reproduce, quote, adapt, license, distribute or re-use R2B material beyond the limited permissions in these terms, you must first obtain written permission from R2B at admin@r2b.uk.
8. Questions, submissions and published Q&A
You may submit questions to R2B through designated forms or channels made available on the website. R2B is not obliged to respond to a question, publish a response or provide personalised guidance. By submitting a question, comment, suggestion, testimonial, feedback item or similar material to R2B, you grant R2B a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to review, edit, adapt, anonymise, reproduce and publish that material, or an adapted version of it, within the website, blog, Q&A area, members’ area, newsletter or promotional materials. If R2B wishes to publish a named testimonial, organisation name, logo, image or other identifying endorsement, it will seek separate consent. R2B may edit submitted material for clarity, length, style, legal risk, anonymity or relevance. R2B may refuse to publish, moderate, remove or edit submissions at its discretion.
9. Confidential and sensitive information
You must not submit confidential information, personal data, special-category data, case files, allegations, witness accounts, photographs, legally privileged material, information identifying individual cases or sensitive organisational material through website forms, membership submissions or informal enquiries. Submitting a question or enquiry does not create a consultant-client relationship, adviser-client relationship, retainer, duty to act, duty of confidentiality beyond applicable law, or an obligation on R2B to review or respond. If paid services are offered in future, a professional engagement will arise only where R2B expressly confirms this under separate written terms.
10. No advice and no reliance
R2B content is provided for general educational, informational and professional-development purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, fire-safety advice, regulatory advice, investigative advice, technical advice, HR advice, risk-assessment advice or advice on the facts of a particular case or organisation. Although R2B aims to provide useful and professionally informed material, R2B does not represent that the content is complete, current, accurate or suitable for every circumstance. Legislation, case law, standards, guidance, enforcement approaches and accepted practice may change. You are responsible for checking current primary sources, official guidance and the facts of your own matter before acting on website content.
11. Availability and changes
R2B does not guarantee uninterrupted, secure or error-free access to the website or membership area. Access may be suspended, restricted, modified or withdrawn temporarily or permanently for maintenance, updates, security, legal reasons, content changes or operational reasons. R2B may change the structure, scope, format, features, content or availability of membership at any time. Where changes materially affect membership rights or future paid access arrangements, R2B will aim to give reasonable notice through the website or member communications.
12. Suspension and termination
R2B may suspend, restrict or terminate membership immediately where you breach these terms, misuse the website, infringe intellectual property rights, share access credentials, attempt unauthorised copying or extraction, upload inappropriate material, create legal or security risk, or use the website in a way that undermines its intended purpose. If membership is terminated or suspended, your right to access member-only content ends immediately. The provisions relating to intellectual property, restricted use, confidentiality warnings, no-advice status, liability and governing law will continue to apply after termination where relevant.
13. Links to other websites
The website may contain links to third-party websites, tools, videos, platforms or external resources. R2B is not responsible for the content, availability, accuracy, legality, privacy practices or security of third-party sites. The inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement. You should review the terms, privacy notices and reliability of external sources independently before relying on them.
14. Data protection and cookies
R2B will process personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection law and its Privacy Notice. R2B will provide cookie information and any necessary consent controls for non-essential cookies or similar technologies. The ICO requires clear information about cookies and, unless an exemption applies, active user consent before non-essential cookies are set.
15. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, the website and membership content are provided on an informational basis only. To the fullest extent permitted by law, R2B excludes liability for loss arising from reliance on general website content, interruptions to access, third-party links, unauthorised access by others, or your failure to verify current law, guidance, standards or case-specific facts before acting.
16. General
These terms are intended to be transparent, proportionate and reasonably clear in setting the boundaries of a professional resource membership. If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms will continue to apply as far as legally possible.
17. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute or non-contractual claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
18. Contact
Requests for permission to re-use content, copyright enquiries, membership questions and notices relating to these terms should be sent to admin@r2b.uk.
